Travelling around Hull by bus is easy, convenient, reliable and could help save you money.
The city is served by two operators, Stagecoach East Midlands and East Yorkshire, who offer frequent services to residents across Hull and the East Riding, connecting them to places they want to go.
Hull is also connected to the National Coach Network through services delivered by National Express from Hull Paragon Interchange.

Strategic public transport planning in Hull is led by the Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority (HEYCA) under the region’s mayor, working alongside Hull City Council, Stagecoach East Midlands and East Yorkshire.
For the financial year 2026/2027, HEYCA has allocated Hull City Council with £7.8million of Government funding via the Local Authority Bus Grant (LABG) to spend on a variety of enhancements to make bus travel in the city more convenient and more reliable, including -
- installing additional shelters for bus users to make journeys more comfortable, safe and appealing
- installing new digital signage to provide up-to-date bus information citywide, improving accuracy of information to customers and providing greater confidence and reducing uncertainty for those using public transport
- reducing passenger waiting times and promoting bus usage by increasing the frequency of services to every 10 minutes on key routes
- continuing to work with local charity, Hull Community Transport, to maintain the Marfleet Community Bus that provides a community link three days per week
- continuing to part-fund, alongside East Riding of Yorkshire Council, a Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday service from Hull to the North York Moors, from May through to Monday 28 September 2026
- continuing to fund, alongside East Riding of Yorkshire Council, the Young Persons Freedom Pass to provide care leavers, under the age of 25, with free travel with both operators in Hull and the East Riding
- continuing to develop moving traffic violation (MTV) camera and enforcement schemes for yellow box junctions and bus lane camera enforcement across the city to support bus accessibility and improve punctuality
